Staying aware of heat illness: Exhaustion vs. Stroke

Mississippians are used to the heat. Some may even say the like how hot it gets. Others may boast that if you can’t take the heat, remove yourself. That advice could save your life.

Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are very real threats to folks living in the Southeast, especially in Mississippi.

It’s important to remain vigilant when you’re doing yard work, cooking outside, or even relaxing by the pool, as temperatures within the human body change much more rapidly than you might think.
