Strangling a Mentally Disabled Person With Her Bare Hands, Indictment Says

SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss.–Strangling a mentally disabled person with her bare hands from behind is the accusation against Rebecca Walker, 56, of Pinola. She was indicted by a Simpson County grand jury and arrested this week, said Atty. Gen. Jim Hood.

A news release from his office says Walker was a worker at a personal care home when she got into a fight that turned physical with the patient, who had severe mental difficulties.

According to the release, Walker and the victim went to the floor and Walker got on the person’s back, choking the victim from behind.

She was charged with culpable negligence manslaughter and could get 20 years if she’s convicted.
