Supreme Court Denies Death Row Inmate Appeal Hearing

JACKSON, Miss.- The U.S. Supreme Court is refusing to hear the appeal of a Mississippi death row inmate.

Leslie “Bo” Galloway III was convicted of raping and killing a Harrison Central High senior in 2008.

Prosecutors said Galloway killed Shakeylia Anderson of Gulfport and dumped her body in a rural wooded area off Mississippi Highway 15 where hunters later found her body the next day.

In 2013, the Mississippi Supreme Court upheld Galloway’s 2010 conviction and death sentence in the slaying of the teenager.

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from Galloway Tuesday.
