Suspect arrested in Pike County for shooting of 5

PIKE COUNTY, Miss.- The Pike County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Lazavier Addison for conspiracy to commit murder after a shooting Sunday night that killed one and injured four. 

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Sin City Nightclub on Church Road near Magnolia. Due to the altercation one man, 45-year-old Prentiss Jackson was pronounced dead from several gunshot wounds.

Four other individuals were injured during the shooting.

Police have charged another suspect in the shooting, Derric Hall who is facing four counts of attempted murder.

Hall admitted to investigators the extent of his involvement. He said while out partying and gambling an argument happened which then led to a fight. He told the authorities he was assaulted by four or five people.

However, he managed to get outside and get a weapon from his car. That is when the shots began to be fired.

Addison and Hall’s bonds are set at $700,000 a piece.
