RICHLAND, Miss. – An arrest has been made in the Christmas Eve death of Belhaven football player Trey Rich, III.
Rankin County authorities picked up Reginald Davis, 29, Thursday night at his home. He is charged with felony DUI-death. Davis had admitted to drinking the night Rich was hit and killed while riding home from work on his bike. Blood samples, tested at the state crime lab, showed Davis was over the legal blood alcohol limit. So far, no bond has been set for him.
Rich, a Memphis native, played wide receiver for Belhaven University.
