Suspected Pennsylvania Grocery Robber Found Passed Out in Mississippi Field

DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. – Two groceries stores were robbed in Pennsylvania over the weekend, and Tuesday police in Mississippi arrested the man believed to be responsible.

According to tribtotalmedia.com, Tony Lamont Dawson Jr. was found by a Mississippi game protector who discovered Dawson in a farmer’s field just south of Memphis. He was passed out in a minivan that Dawson borrowed from his girlfriend which police say was also used in the robberies.

When deputies arrived, they say Dawson was intoxicated. They arrest him for driving under the influence and having an expired license plate.

Currently Dawson is being held on a felony warrant for the Pennsylvania robberies. When extradited he will face charges of robbery, receiving stolen property, and terroristic threats.
