FOREST, Miss. – A Texas man, wanted for child sex crimes, has been caught in Mississippi. Troy Mason, of Palestine, Texas was taken into custody just after midnight Friday at a truck stop in Forest.
He was arrested on a bond revocation for an original charge of sexual assault of a child and possession or distribution of child pornography. Investigators said Mason earlier escaped from the Anderson County Courthouse in Texas after assaulting a deputy sheriff. Investigators tracked him to Mississippi after getting an anonymous tip.
