The Gulfport Police Department has arrested a suspect for the burglary of the local Wards on September 24.

Officials say someone forced their way into the Wards located at 617 Rass Road and took off with an undisclosed amount of money from the business.

Police began looking for the suspect described as a black male, with a gray/dark colored shirt, dark shorts, dark sneakers, with a shaved head and glasses.

Just days later, on September 27, the business was hit again around 3:35 a.m. and officers responded to the scene to find a teen breaking into the business. Police uncovered that the juvenile was the same one who burglarized the business just days before.

The 16-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Business. The identity of the teen has not yet be released.
