Teeth Mark the Spot; Children’s Home Worker Accused of Abuse

TUPELO, Miss. – A Tupelo children’s home employee has been arrested after being accused of biting a 6-year-old on the arm.

Attorney General Jim Hood said Whitney Foy, 27, of Shannon, turned herself into the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Monday after an indictment for abuse of a vulnerable person. Foy, according to the indictment, bit the victim at a privately-owned facility where children live while in custody of the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

Foy is free on a $10,000 bond.  If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison.
