ATLANTA, GA.- A Terry man visiting Georgia came home a much wealthier man after winning big from a lottery ticket.
Duane Roberts, 51, is one of two people to each win a $50,000 jackpot prize by matching all five winning numbers from the Sept. 20 Fantasy 5 drawing, Georgia lottery officials said.
Roberts stopped at R Bees in Georgetown, where he purchased the winning Quik Pik ticket.
The lucky winner is the owner of a construction company who was visiting the Albany area. He discovered his prize while checking the results online.
“When I saw that I’d won, I stayed over,” said Roberts. “I feel great! It makes me want to stay in Georgia.”
Roberts claimed his prize Sept. 22 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.
Winning numbers from the Sept. 20 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 9-13-19-26-28.
The second jackpot-winning ticket was purchased in Ellaville.
