The Death of Lee Kendrick: Man Sees the Judge, Waits for Grand Jury

PEARL, MISS– Walter Lee Young and Loren Blackwell were both arrested for the auto theft and shooting death of Lee Kendrick of Pearl in August.

Young saw the judge Monday, and bond was set at $500,000. He’s charged with capital murder, and the case now heads to the grand jury.

A missing person’s report was put out for Lee Kendrick in August. His body was later found at an abandoned apartment complex, after his vehicle was spotted on security camera in Jackson.

Young later turned himself in to Sheriff Victor Mason, who at the time was a candidate for the position.

Loren Blackwell was arrested before Young turned himself in. Both are charged with auto theft and capital murder.
