Three arrested in undercover drug operation

The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, Brandon Police Department, and the US Marshals Office teamed up and executed a search and arrest at Mary Myles Drive and Mosley Lane in Brandon. 

Around 5:30 this morning search warrants were conducted at several residences. Freddie Love Jr. was arrested for five counts of selling crack cocaine. Robert Mosley was arrested for three counts of selling crack cocaine.

While searching Love’s residence at 227 Mary Myles Drive, Anthony Jerome Varnell Jr. was located in a bedroom there. He is a wanted felon and was in possession of around five grams of crack cocaine and a stolen firearm.

Two additional firearms were found in a vehicle on the property of Mosley, one of them being an AR-15 rifle that was reported stolen from the Madison Parish LA Sheriff’s Department.

Two other misdemeanor arrests were made as a result of these searches.

The suspects will appear before the Rankin county District Attorney Michael Guest and Judge Kent McDaniel for felony charges.
