Three Hurt in South Mississippi Plane Crash, FAA to Investigate

 WIGGINS, Miss. – The Federal Aviation Administration will be in Stone County Friday, spending its’ first full day investigating a single engine plane crash near Wiggins that injured three.

The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday when the pilot tried to land in a field, but clipped a three.  Two people on board suffered significant injuries and the third had minor ones.  They’re being treated at a Hattiesburg hospital.  No names were immediately released; but authorities said the plane was headed to Mobile, Alabama from Dallas, Texas.
