North Mississippi seeing your first morning without rain in several days, however you can expect showers to crop up throughout the day. High heat coupled with high humidity is your main threat the rest of this week: highs pushing into the lower 90s through Sunday.

Central Mississippi seeing a wide stretch of dangerous heat as well: the National Weather Service issuing a heat advisory stretching all the way to the Gulf Coast with heat indices reaching 108 degrees in some places. Highs tipping past 90 today.

Across the southern reaches of the state, highs will top out in the mid 90s as you work through stiff humidity today. Be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade if you’re working outside.
