Today is Calm Before the Storm Statewide: Severe Weather for Wednesday, Thursday

Jackson, Miss– Today will be picture perfect statewide, but the storms will follow tomorrow.

Let’s start in the Southern part of the state. Partly sunny, with a high near 74 today. Tonight, increasing clouds with a low of around 62.Tomorrow, there’s a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, along with a high near 72 with breeziness up to 15 MPH.
North Mississippi, today will be sunny with a high near 72. Mostly clear tonight, cruising down to around 51 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are likely tomorrow with about a 70 percent chance of rain, mainly in the afternoon. Some of those storms may be severe with the temperature reaching a high of 71.
Central Mississippi will be sunny today while we can expect a high near 75. Partly cloudy tonight with a low of 57.
There’s a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, mainly in the afternoon. Gusty winds as strong as 20 MPH.
