Trial Delayed for Mississippi Couple Who Allegedly Tried to Join ISIS

OXFORD, Miss. – They were caught trying to join ISIS and now their trial is being delayed.

A federal judge has changed the trail date from Oct. 26 to Jan. 19.

The delay was approved after 20-year-old Jaelyn Young of Vicksburg acquired new lawyers. Her attorney’s requested more time in-order to review the evidence in the case.

Young and  Muhammad Dakhlalla, 22, of Starkville both pleaded not guilty to charges of aiding terrorists. The two were apprehended back in August, while trying to board a plane at a Columbus airport that was headed to Istanbul.
