Turkey Not Off the Table Yet If You Can’t Afford Thanksgiving Dinner

JACKSON, MISS–  UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Mississippi teams up with Alcorn State University Extension Program to hand out Thanksgiving turkeys.The turkeys are for eligible Mississippians as part of  UnitedHealthcare’s Farm-to-Fork initiative.

The turkeys will go out in  Meridian, Tupelo, Southaven, Indianola, Gulfport and Jackson. UnitedHealthcare CHIP and MississippiCan folks are eligible for the free meal. The program hopes to supply healthy food for those who need a little help making better options.

Here’s where you can pick up your turkey:

Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. Multi-County Community Service Agency 2906 St. Paul St. Meridian, Miss., 39302

Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. The Link Centre 1800 W. Main St. Tupelo, Miss., 38801

Thursday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. Brown Missionary Baptist Church-Mother Lucille Smith Annex Building 742 Stateline Road E. Southaven, Miss., 38671 2

Friday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. BB King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center 400 2nd St. Indianola, Miss., 38751

Monday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. Good Deeds Community Center 15101 Madison St. Gulfport, Miss., 39501

Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. MetroCenter Mall 3645 Hwy 80 West Jackson, Miss., 39209
