GULFPORT, Miss.- Two Alabama men arrested for eight bank robberies, six of them in Mississippi, are scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Gulfport.

Randy Laverne Marshall of Prichard, Alabama, and Keith Anthony Kiel of Mobile, were convicted in July for the series of bank robberies using stolen cars during four months in 2008 and from December 2012 through May 2013.

Two of the holdups were in Moss Point. The others were in Ocean Springs, Gautier, Biloxi, Gulfport, Pensacola and Greenville, Alabama.

The Sun Herald reports a federal judge recently denied a motion for a new trial.

Two co-defendants, Lamarcus Moore and Reginald Robinson, both from Saraland, Alabama, accepted plea deals and are serving prison terms of five and four years, respectively.
