Two Weeks in the Hospital, State Sen. Carmichael Goes Home

MERIDIAN, Miss.–After over a two-week stay in the hospital, state Sen. Videt Carmichael has returned home. He had been at UMMC in Jackson since he fell in his Jackson apartment near the end of the 2014 legislative session.

Carmichael got more than just a bump on the head. His son told TV station WTOK that there was bleeding on the brain and he was on a ventilator until Friday. That’s also when he first woke up.

Carmichael serves the Lauderdale County area.
