Unemployed School Workers Under Investigation

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Miss. — The principal and a teacher at Crystal Springs High School have quit their jobs as allegations of their inappropriate contact with students swirls around them.

A district spokesperson confirmed that the resignations of Michael Evans and Kwinsi Bridges were accepted Monday night but would not comment on the allegations.

Crystal Springs police, saying an investigation is incomplete, aren’t talking about the case either, refusing to discuss the number of complaints nor the age of the students.  However, some students said about a dozen complaints had been filed, mainly by track team members and their parents.

Bridges was a teacher and track coach.  Evans was the principal.
