Warren Strain with MBI told News Mississippi that Knight has been found as of 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

After questioning the 17-year-old man known as “Mike” about the incident, he was released and is not in custody at this time.

“Mike” was last seen walking down Hospital Drive with 3-year-old King Knight. The car was recovered at Cyprus Point Apartments.

Nearly an hour and a half after reports were released by JPD that a vehicle was stolen with a child inside, still no Amber Alert has been issued.

Warren Strain with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said they are waiting for the paperwork from the Jackson Police Department in order to issue an Amber Alert for King Knight.

“We cannot issue an Amber Alert until we have the proper paperwork from the requesting agency,” said Strain.

What they are looking for:

Police have identified the driver of the vehicle as a 17-year-old black man named “Mike.”

They have now reported that the vehicle with Knight inside was being driven by a black male, plate: HNZ 995.
