UPDATE: manhunt over after both Parchman escapees captured

Ryan Young has now been captured after being on the run from the State Penitentiary at Parchman since early Monday morning. Young is serving 40 years for burglarizing a vehicle and a residence, as well as grand larceny in Claiborne County.

One of the two inmates who escaped from the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman has been found.

James Sanders, serving time for a Lafayette county murder, was taken in by authorities not long after a $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to his capture.

His escape partner Ryan Young, a 22 year old black male is still on the run.

Young is serving 40 years for a list of crimes including vehicle and home burglary, grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The two inmates escaped from prison located in the Delta on hwy 49 between Cleveland and Clarksdale earlier this week. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Young, please contact the state department of corrections. or your local authorities, but do not approach him: he’s considered armed and dangerous.
