The United States Marine Corps. has grounded 12 of their KC 130T aircrafts after a fatal plane crash killed 16 servicemen in the Mississippi Delta.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the marine corps took the prudent action not to fly our KC130T aircraft in the wake of the mishap on July 10th until further notice,” said Second Lieutenant Stephanie Leguizamon.

Leguizamon says the investigation of the July 10th plane crash is still under way and that the grounding of the planes is purely precautionary.

“It is something that we are doing out of precaution, the cause of the mishap hasn’t been determined,” said Leguizamon.
