Here’s a quick rundown of what the weather is going to be like today across Mississippi.

A dense fog advisory is in effect across North, Central, and South Mississippi until 9 a.m. this morning.

In North Mississippi, warmer today with cloudy skies and widespread dense fog throughout the day. Visibility is near one-quarter mile or less at times in the morning. There will be some periods of drizzle in the morning along with a slight chance of light rain during the day. Highs will be in the mid-60s. Tonight, cloudy with a chance of light rain. Lows will be in the upper 50s.

In Central Mississippi, warmer today with cloudy skies and areas of dense fog in the morning, then patchy fog in the afternoon. A slight chance of showers in the afternoon and highs are expected to be in the mid-60s. At night, cloudy with more patchy fog in the evening, then areas of fog after midnight. There is also a slight chance of showers in the evening, then a chance of showers after midnight. Lows will near 60.

In South Mississippi, mostly cloudy today with widespread dense fog in the morning, then some patchy fog in the afternoon. There is a slight chance of showers in the afternoon and highs will be in the upper 60s. Tonight more clouds and more patchy fog with a slight chance of showers. Lows will be near 60.
