Weekend weather rundown: cloudy, rain, warmer temperatures

Here’s a quick rundown of what the weather is going to look like this weekend across the Magnolia state.

In North Mississippi Saturday, expect sunny skies with highs in the mid-50s. At night mostly cloudy with a slight chance of light rain and then a chance of rain after midnight. Lows will near 40 at night.

Sunday, rain in the morning with a slight chance for some light rain in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-50s. Sunday night, expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of light rain. Lows will be in the mid-40s.

In Central Mississippi Saturday is not as cool as it was yesterday. Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s. Tonight, not as cool as the previous week. Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows are set to be in the lower 40s.

Sunday, expect cloudy skies with some showers in the morning. A slight chance of thunderstorms during the day and some more showers possible in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 60s. Sunday night, warmer temperatures with mostly cloudy skies. There is a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms with lows expected to be in the lower to mid-50s.

In South Mississippi Saturday, partly sunny with highs in the upper 50s. At night, not as cool, mostly cloudy with some patchy fog during the night. A slight chance of showers in the evening and continuing  after midnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s. Sunday, expect warmer temperatures with patchy fog in the morning. Showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms during the day. Highs will be in the lower 70s. Sunday night, warmer with cloudy skies and a chance of showers in the evening. A slight chance of thunderstorms during the night. Showers are also likely after midnight. Lows are expected to be in the lower 60s.
