Weekend weather rundown: warmer temps, sunny skies, showers

Here’s a quick look at the weather rundown for this weekend across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, Saturday will not be as cool as it has been. Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs will be in the mid-50s. Saturday night, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s. 

Sunday partly sunny with a slight chance of showers. Highs will be in the mid-60s. At night, a slight chance of showers in the evening along with some isolated thunderstorms during the night. Showers are expected after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 50s.

In central Mississippi, Saturday will not be as cool, expect partly sunny skies with a slight chance of showers during the day. Highs will be in the lower 60s. At night, mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. There is also a slight chance of showers in the evening and lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.

Sunday, mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will near 70 during the heat of the day. Sunday night, expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers in the evening. There will also be a chance of showers, as well as, a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows will be in the mid-50s. 

In south Mississippi, Saturday expect partly sunny skies with a slight chance of showers. Highs will be in the lower to mid-60s. At night, not as cool, mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. There will be some patchy fog after midnight and lows will near 50. 

Sunday, expect mostly sunny skies with some patchy fog in the morning. A slight chance of showers in the afternoon and highs will be in the lower 70s. Sunday night, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers during the night along with a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. There will also be areas of fog after midnight. Lows will be in the upper 50s.
