What You’re Paying For Gas Keeps Going Up

JACKSON, Miss.–The highest gas price is Mississippi is $3.69 and that’s in Pearl. That price has been steady for over a week, according to gasbuddy.com , a website that tracks gas across the U.S. What has not been steady, and infact has continuously gone up, is the low price and the state average.

Today you’re paying $3.29 on average. That’s a rise by eight cents since the beginning of the week.

Earlier in the week some analysts predicted a slight rise after oil prices went up by two bucks per barrel over the weekend. That has apparently trickled down to Mississippi and now the national average is on the move, too at $3.56.

The cheapest gas in Mississippi is now shared by Tupelo, Southaven and Vicksburg, with some stations there at $3.15.

The low prices at the beginning of the week were under $3 a gallon.
