Why Body Shops are Not Happy with State Farm

JACKSON, Miss. — Over two dozen body shops across the state are asking the Hinds County Chancery Court to block a State Farm insurance program that would change the way they find auto parts for repairs. The new program requires body shops to use PartsTrader, an online marketplace that finds the cheapest parts to do repairs. The body shops argue that it might take longer for those parts to get to them, so it could damage their relationships with customers.
