Work week kicks off with spring-like conditions

Cloudy and damp as you begin you workweek–not too cool, though with temperatures through North Mississippi hovering around the upper 50s and lower 60s for the morning.

The same can be said about areas through the central part of the state, as well as areas further south and pushing toward the gulf coast.

Today you’re looking at a comfortable, breezy day with highs in the lower 70s through the northern half of the state, but looking through the south, closer to 80. The good news is a steady breeze will help carry you through your Monday.

Looking toward tomorrow, a heavy cold front will be impacting this warm and muggy air you’re experiencing today and will brew up some thunderstorms for your Tuesday. And it won’t matter where in the state you call home, you’re in for rain and thunder. Some pockets of storms may develop powerful winds, so keep that in mind as you turn toward tomorrow.
