Your State Flag Still Lowered: Gov. Bryant Orders Flags at Half Mast an Extra Day

JACKSON, Miss.–When you see a state or U.S. flag today, it will be at half mast, if it is on public grounds. Monday, Gov. Bryant extended an executive order to keep the flags lowered in honor of the victims in the Umpqua Community College shooting in Roseburg, Oregon.

The order came after Pres. Obama ordered U.S. flags lowered through tonight.

Bryant said the prayers of the people of Mississippi are with the victims and their families.
