COVINGTON COUNTY, Miss. – Police are trying to identify a decaying body found over the weekend near Lake Mike Conner.
A hunter discovered the body close to the Jeff Davis County line. Investigators say the body was so badly decomposed that the sex of the individual couldn’t be identified.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations has been called into assist. Police say it’s too early to tell if this individual was killed or died of natural causes.
