JACKSON, Miss.–The biggest business meeting in Mississippi is happening today at the Jackson Convention Complex and the Miss. Economic Council’s annual meeting, “Power Play”, is bringing home one of the state’s biggest success stories.
David Abney, CEO of UPS, is from Mississippi. He is set to speak at 11:45, during the luncheon. Abney started at UPS loading trucks in Greenwood at age 18. He worked his way to the top of the company.
Also featured will be Gov. Phil Bryant, Miss Mississippi Jasmine Murray and Coach Ken Carter, a native of McComb, and the man who inspired the movie “Coach Carter” in 2005.
The annual meeting will feature networking, discussions about how to grow your business and seminars. plus sales and customer service training.
