Wicker Talks Pope Francis and How Mississippians Can Watch the Pope in Washington

WASHINGTON – Pope Francis landed at Andrews air force base this morning and was greeted immediately by President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

The Pontiff is in the United States as part of a six-day visit that will include an address to Congress.

Mississippi U.S. Senator Roger Wicker says he hopes that all those present at the event will be respectful and follow typical decorum. He says sometimes too much applause can get in the way of the message the speaker is trying share.

He also talked about the fact that if any Mississippians are in the area that his office has tickets to watch the Pope speak, on a video screen, outside the capital.

Wicker says he started off with 200 tickets and now only 37 remain.
