JSU Announces New Head Football Coach

JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State University has announced that Toney Hughes will be the new head football coach. 

For the past seven years Hughes had been safeties and recruiting coordinator at Mississippi State. Previously, he had been an assistant at Ole Miss form 2005-2007 and spent 2008 at his alma mater, Southern Miss.

Over the past two seasons Jackson State went 8-15 under Rick Comegy, Harold Jackson and interim coach Derrick McCall.
