  • The Mississippi subject of a massive manhunt may be involved in a third shooting and second murder. In addition to the woman at the Vineyard Apartments in Rankin County, Alex Bridges Deaton is also being sought in the murder of Brenda Pinter,  found shot to death inside the Dixon Baptist Church on Thursday.

 

  • Investigation continues into the weekend auto fatality that claimed the life of a Myrtle teenager. 18 year old Alee Thomas was killed in a head on collision on Highway 178 near Hickory Flat.

 

  • The amber alert for 2 year old Taniya Edwards of Gulfport has been cancelled.

 

  • You have until this Wednesday (Ash Wednesday) to decide which vice to sacrifice til Easter, with some folks quaking at the notion of giving up Facebook for more than a month. It’s being parried as an extreme but committed sacrifice for those who are genuine about replacing a preoccupation of the flesh with spiritual reflection.
