Monday weather rundown 7-3-17: storms return to N MS

North Mississippi still under plenty of threat from scattered thundershowers today: you’ve got about a 50/50 chance of getting wet today. Things staying hot and sticky today between downpours: your high ticking to the upper 80s, lower 90s for your Monday. More rain expected tonight, as well as into your holiday Tuesday: 60 percent coverage tomorrow with highs returning to the upper 80s.

Central Mississippi seeing less of a chance to get any rain, but you’re dealing with a little more heat: your high today pushing into the low to mid 90s to start the week. Rain taking somewhat of a break overnight as well, giving you a good chance for seeing some fireworks tonight. Tomorrow more of the same: hot and humid with highs just over 90.

South Mississippi feeling the heat as well, with a distinct lack of rain marking your Monday. Today’s high breaking into the low to mid 90s for you as well. Tonight you may see a chance for a breakout shower, but otherwise you’re in for mostly clear skies.
