Weekday weather rundown: 4-2-18

After some of last week’s severe weather across the state, a low-key day of weather is a welcomed change. While there may not be sunshine at all times today, there shouldn’t be much inclement weather in Mississippi as the week begins.

North Mississippi

You’ll see mostly cloudy skies, but just a slight chance of showers. Highs will be in the in the lower to mid-70s. As the night moves in, the warmer temperatures and the cloudy skies will stick around with lows in the lower 60s.

Central Mississippi

The National Weather Services says that partly sunny skies will be the norm today with highs in the upper 70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the lower to mid-60s.

South Mississippi

While some patchy fog may persist in the morning, it will be partly sunny throughout the day. The NWS says that there will be a slight chance of rain in the afternoon. This will be the warmest region across the state today, with highs in the lower 80s.
