Photo Miss Mississippi pageant
VICKSBURG, Miss.–The crown was handed over Saturday night as last year’s Miss Mississippi, Marie Wicks, placed that crown on Chelsea Rick, Miss Amory Railroad Festival.
Rick won two of the preliminary competitions before taking the crown-talent and swimwear.
“I’m so blessed to be the new Miss Mississippi,” said Rick, who has been competing since 2009. “It doesn’t seem real.”
There were 34 other contestants in the pageant and those included the first runner-up, Hannah Roberts, Miss USM, and second runner-up Laura Lee Lewis, Miss West Central Mississippi. Third runner-up was Jordin Johnson, Miss Leaf River Valley and fourth runner-up was Caroline Conerly, Miss University.
