George Malvaney is best known for his leadership in the Mississippi response to the Deepwater Horizon (BP) oil spill in 2010.
Marlvaney’s memoir titled Cups Up was released in May of 2018 by University Press of Mississippi. Cups Up chronicles George Malvaney’s roller coaster life from high school dropout, ex-Klansman, ex-mercenary, ex-felon, and ex-con, who went on to become a college graduate, a hard-nosed environmental regulator and successful businessman.
Craig Gill the director of University Press of Mississippi joined George Malvaney on Good Things with Rebecca Turner to provide the publishers side of the project.
