A Wet, Warm President’s Day

In the southern part of the state showers and thunderstorms likely today, extending into the evening hours. Today’s high will be around 71. Tonight, a 40 percent chance of continued showers, tapering off around 10PM. After an overnight low of around 47, tomorrow will be sunny with a high near 70.

Turning to Northern Mississippi, showers and a high of 58 today with a possible accumulation of
three quarters to one inch of rain. A 20 percent chance of precipiation tonight, then mostly cloudy with a low of around 37. Expect sunshine tomorrow with a high of 64.

In the Central part of the state, showers and thunderstorms all day, intensifying between 4PM and 5PM, tapering down to a 20 percent chance of rain overnight along with a low around 42.
Tomorrow should shine bright and sunny with a high near 69.
