Abuse from the One You Hope to Trust: Former Caregiver Booked on Hurting Mentally Disabled

FORREST COUNTY, MISS– Attorney General Jim Hood says a man has been arrested for physically abusing a mentally disabled man who was staying at a Forrest County group home.

Stacey Ford, 37, of Hattiesburg is the man who police say was abusing a mentally disabled patient. The charges come after an investigation by the Attorney General’s office. Hood says Ford was the man’s direct caregiver.

Ford hasn’t seen the judge yet, but could get up to 20 years in the pen if he’s convicted.
