AG Makes Request To Set Execution Dates

JACKSON, Miss. — Attorney General Jim Hood is asking the Mississippi Supreme Court to set execution dates for death row inmates Charles Ray Crawford and Michelle Byrom.

Crawford was sentenced to die for the rape and murder of a Northeast Community College student in 1994.  Byrom is on death row for killing her own husband in Tishomingo County in 1999.  Hood wants both of them put to death before the end of next month.  Justices will issue an opinion later.
