In Brookhaven, flood waters forced an ambulance service to help evacuate people from their homes according to the Brookhaven Police Department.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department said Millie Davis Road, Ella Bryant, East Smith Ferry, Willie Newsome and Garrett Roads are all being investigated for damage, and Garrett Road is still partially closed.

As flood waters continue to recede, more damage reports will be released.
