Asthma inhaler recall affecting nearly 600,000 units

Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline is recalling inhalers delivering Ventolin HFA (albuterol sulfate) Inhalation Aerosol, 90 mcg after receiving numerous complaints that the delivery system allowed the drug to leak out of the bottle.

Here’s what to look for to see if your inhaler has been recalled:

Lot #: 6ZP9848, Exp 03/18; 6ZP0003, 6ZP9944, Exp 04/18.

GSK says the leak doesn’t pose a risk to consumers, and are working to determine what caused the defect.
