JACKSON COUNTY, Miss.–A motorcycle wreck Thursday evening claimed the life of a 22-year-old man in Jackson County. The Sun Herald newspaper reported the man’s ID is being withheld for now. In Hancock County it was a drowning that claimed another man’s life.

The bike wreck happened about 7:30 in St. Martin and involved another vehicle. The man’s ID is being withheld until his family is notified.

The drowning happened when 53-year-old Robert Trail went for a swim in the lake behind his Waveland home about 6 p.m. and went under. That’s when neighbors called 911. WLOX reported that first responders tried CPR to no avail.

Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk told media it appeared the death was from drowning.
