Auburn’s Infamous Tree Destruction to be Reprised After Ole Miss Rivalry Game?

OXFORD, Miss. – Just days ahead of the Egg Bowl, the University of Mississippi has received a handwritten note threatening to harm trees and shrubs in the school’s Grove.

The note, received Tuesday, was turned over to the FBI.  School leaders said the threat is being taken very seriously, and security has been increased to ensure safety both inside and outside of the school’s stadium.

The note read: “What’s going to happen to ya’ll on the field Saturday aint nothing compared to what’s going to happen on your beautiful campus.  You won’t be one of the most pretty campus’ next year.  A lot of shrubs and trees are going to die; especially in the grove. Can’t stop us.”

It was signed “Hail State Go to hell TSUN.”

TSUN is an acronym for The School Up North, and is commonly used by Mississippi State fans when talking about Ole Miss.
