Bad weather to cancel flights out of Jackson

JACKSON Miss.- The winter weather is on it’s way and American Airlines is cancelling flights. 

Due to the predicted winter weather coming into the north and central regions of the magnolia state flights with American Air Lines from Charolette-Douglas International Airport for Friday have been cancelled. They are advising passengers to contact the airline to monitor changes.

Often times airlines will pre-cancel flights and get planes away from storm effected areas, so monitor your flight status closely using the website or mobile app. Reservation change gees could we waived to encourage fliers to re-book after storm affected dates.

The airport will still be staffed throughout the storm and their focus will be on keeping conditions safe for aircraft.

Local hotels may offer overnight accommodation options for those whose flights are canceled. More information is available through the website
