JACKSON, MISS– If you’re looking for something to do around the state this weekend, there’s plenty happening around the state.

For some of the best Barbecue around, head to the 10th Annual Grillin’ on the Green in Biloxi. There’s plenty for the family and of course a Barbecue competition–so that plate will be the best in the state. Here’s the website for more information http://www.gulfcoast.org/event/10th-annual-grillin-on-the-green/5888/
If that’s not enough food for you, then move on to Hernando for the 8th Annual Taste of Hernando Festival. There will be music, a silent auction, and the finest local food Hernando has to offer. http://www.sodesoto.com/events/taste-of-hernando/
Then make a day of visiting with your favorite animal friends at CU at the Zoo in Jackson, sponsored by the Mississippi Credit Union. Food trucks, animals, arts and crafts will make the day one to remember.. and there will even be someone there to teach the kids about saving money.. and you’ll save some too..the first 2,500 people get in free. There are other events happening at the Zoo, and you can find that info on their website. www.jacksonzoo.org
