Body Found Burned in a Barrel Has Been Identified

LOUNDES COUNTY, Miss. – Through a DNA test it has been confirmed that the body found in a burned out barrel, in Lowndes County, is that of Manuel Vasquez.

Vasquez disappeared in late June after returning from a trip to Texas.
Investigators believe Vasquez was dismembered and then put into a barrel and burned outside a home.
His wife and mother-in-law have both been charged with murder. The two are currently in jail with a $500,000 bond.
