Police Pup Gets Kudos for Drug Find

WEBSTER COUNTY– Two pounds of pot busted found during a traffic stop on the Natchez Trace this weekend, and one officer is getting a pat on the back for the judgement that led to two arrests, reports WTVA. One Webster county police pup is hailed as more than just a good boy after he sniffed out two pounds of pot during a traffic stop. Garrett Birmingham and Michael Owens in the lock up now. For these two, it’s not their first rodeo.

Birmingham just got out of prison last month after a year-and-a-half of a five-year sentence for for owning a gun even though he’s a felon, and Owens was already on probation.

The two of them are waiting in the lockup to see the judge.
